New programmable spot and strip tape head for narrow and wide tape.
This high speed PLC controlled tape head can apply tape as programmed in either long strips to match the
product length or short tabs at intervals programmed to choice. The photo shown is of our basic demonstration model.
It can have several programmes stored for taping different products which can be quickly selected to save on setting time.
The one shown is adjustable for tape from 10mm wide to 50mm wide and speed depends upon tape type and width.
For narrow tape we have reliably run at speeds of up to 45 metres per minute. For production use we can remote
feed the tape from spool or bobbin to give massive run time between tape change over.
We can supply this tape head as a complete machine to suit your taping process requirements or as a modular
taping unit to build into your own machine.

New taping machine and laminating machine
Our new taping machine has multiple tape heads to apply three tapes to the underside of the customer's product and this machine also laminates the top side of the product with adhesive aluminium foil. It is computer controlled by a Mitsubishi PLC and is fully automatic running batches of 50 panels through without intervention.
Operator control is by HMI (Touch screen) panel and machine diagnostics such as product count, maintenance service intervals, etc are all incorporated into the machine software.
The tape heads rise for easy access for tape threading. The taping machine was built for a brand new product and design, development, build and programming of this taping and laminating machine was all undertaken on site at Aardvark Engineering.
